This privacy policy applies to the WaveCheck app for mobile devices, developed by Austin Urraca as a Freemium service provided "AS IS".
The app acquires information you supply when you register. Registration is not mandatory, but some features require it.
The app may collect device type, unique device ID, IP address, mobile OS, browser type, and usage patterns.
The app collects your device's location to provide personalized content, relevant recommendations, and location-based services.
The free version of the app displays ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and usage data to serve relevant ads. You can manage your ad preferences through your device settings or the consent dialog shown when you first open the app. Premium subscribers do not see ads.
WaveCheck Pro subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Payment and subscription management is handled by RevenueCat, which receives a user identifier to manage your subscription status. We do not store your payment information.
The app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging to send push notifications about surf conditions and session reminders. You can disable notifications in the app settings or your device settings at any time.
The app does not use AI technologies to process your data.
You can stop all data collection by uninstalling the app.
User-provided data is retained while you use the app. Automatically collected data is retained for up to 24 months. To request deletion, contact support@wavecheck.surf or use the "Delete Account" option in the app settings.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Unauthorized copying, modification, or extraction of source code is prohibited. All intellectual property rights remain with the developer.
WaveCheck Pro is available as a monthly subscription, annual subscription, or one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Prices may vary by region and are displayed in your local currency at time of purchase.
We rely on third parties for forecast data and accept no liability for losses from relying on this information. Always exercise personal judgment when surfing.
We may update or discontinue the app at any time. Upon termination, your rights and licenses end.
